ABOUT
Michael Pos is a Canadian-born artist based in Nashville and Gallatin, Tennessee, crafts what he describes as "Eclectic Roots Groove" music. Originally from Toronto, Pos began pursuing music seriously at 18 and has since developed a style that defies simple categorization, drawing from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and composers like Beethoven and Bach.
His debut single, Move My Ship, released in 2022, marked the start of his solo catalogue and has remained a standout track, followed by the groove-infused Love to Dance in 2024. His music reflects a fusion of decades-spanning inspiration—rock legends, orchestral depth, and contemporary songwriting—anchored by rhythm, melody, and story.
Currently working on new material with Nashville artist Kara Frazier, Pos continues to explore collaboration while crafting his latest release, Michael Pos – Direct. His artistic goal is clear: to create music that moves both the body and the mind. He aspires to one day perform on iconic stages like Massey Hall in Toronto and the Ryman Theatre in Nashville.

WHAT IS RCSQ?
"Rhytnm & Chords- Stories & Questions":
I love rhythm. For me it is the start. Then comes the variance of chords and textures of sound. With that there is a foundation on which to tell a story. Stories always ask questions and appeal for an answer. This is Rhythm and Chords - Stories and Questions: RCSQ.
I love RCSQ in this context when writing a song. I have a more poetic version of what I mean deeper in, but best to keep it simple to start out.
POETIC VERSION:
Rhythm and Chords, Stories and Questions is the country in which I live and where the music is created. A place where there is a lot of water: Rhythm being the waves; Water being the chords; the Story being the boat on which I am sailing and the Questions being the destination to where I want to go. This country for me has many genres and gives me an opportunity to ring the bell of music in unexpected ways with joy and passion. Ways that make me cry, laugh, dance, and pray. It is a place that allows me to say ‘I write to give’
ECLECTIC ROOTS GROOVE™
My music has a style that I like to call Eclectic Roots Groove™ (Eclectic Roots™) a vibrant and dynamic music genre that brings together a diverse range of musical styles and influences. At its core, it combines the story telling and questions of folk, the gut rawness and authenticity of blues, the calling of groove and rhythm, the love of chords found in jazz, and the energy and drive of rock.
